Astria Hollywood redefines industrial development in British Columbia. Developed by Astria Properties and built by Orion Construction, this 32,000 sq. ft. build-to-lease facility is Kelowna’s first industrial project designed to achieve CaGBC Zero Carbon Building certification and was delivered three months ahead of schedule.

Pioneering Sustainability

Astria Hollywood is a fully electric facility, eliminating natural gas and combustion heating. Features include:

  • 50 kW rooftop solar PV system
  • R-30 insulated walls / R-40 roof system
  • Six Level 2 EV chargers
  • High-efficiency HVAC systems

Together, these innovations set a new standard for sustainable industrial space in BC’s Interior.

Engineering Ingenuity

The facility used 92 locally fabricated composite sandwich panels, engineered for thermal performance and structural precision. Partnering with Advanced Precast, located three blocks from site, minimized transport emissions, supported the local economy, and enabled just-in-time delivery.
