Responsibilities

Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
Allocate general and daily responsibilities
Supervise and train workers and tradespeople
Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
Resolve problems when they arise
Report on progress to managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Assist in budgeting, bidding, and awarding of subcontracts as required
Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job site.
Identify areas of work that are outside of the subcontracted scope.
Preside over pre-construction meetings with each subcontractor.
Opening the job site at the beginning of the day and securing the job site at the end of the day.
Assist in hiring sub-tier employees.

Requirements

Proven experience as a construction site superintendent
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines
Understanding of concrete and steel structures and systems
Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Ability to communicate and report effectively
Problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage sub-trades and internal site staff
Technical background in concrete tilt-up construction and its associated systems
